how did i get to where i am today?

I wasn't always a locksmith, find out how and why I started this journey - with a mission to help the locked-out of Reading

Jak In The Locks was started in 2010 by Russell Maslen, a local resident of Reading. Finding a niche in the market, Russell found the call out times and charges for local locksmiths to be unacceptable....... so he did something about it.

 

Now Russell (nickname Jacko - hence the name) has become one of the most respected and trusted locksmiths in Reading and surrounding areas.

In order to become a locksmith you must complete the required training courses and become accredited with the UK Locksmith Association. Once complete you are able to use the 'Trusted and Vetted' logo giving your customers peace of mind in what can be a very sensitive industry.

Arrived quickly after completing the previous job and within 10 minutes had the door open! First class, trustworthy, genuine and professional. On top of all that he even charged a very reasonable price with no hidden fees or extras. Highly recommended!

New internal door lock fitted

We called Jak in the Locks to install a new internal lock on the door to the toilet in our office. He was extremely friendly and didn't leave a spec of dust behind! FANTASTICCannot recommend highly enough! Would use Russell again without hesitation but hope I don't have to!

emergency call out

Emergency call out on a Saturday, he was there within 20 minutes, fixed it there and then, and when he found out I as having to pay to fix damage caused by someone else he didn't charge the full amount. Couldn't ask for a better locksmith.
